Ethan Coen

Ethan Coen, born in 1957, and Joel Coen, born in 1954, both in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, are celebrated for their unique blend of dark humor and quirky storytelling. The Coen brothers' notable films include "Fargo" (1996), "The Big Lebowski" (1998), and "No Country for Old Men" (2007), the latter winning them Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Often editing their own films under the pseudonym "Roderick Jaynes," the Coens come from an academic family with their father an economist and their mother an art historian.
