Ridley Scott

Ridley Scott was born in 1937 in South Shields, England. Celebrated for his groundbreaking work in science fiction and epic cinema, Scott directed the iconic "Alien" (1979) and "Blade Runner" (1982), as well as the Academy Award-winning "Gladiator" (2000). Originally studying graphic design, Scott worked as a set designer before transitioning to directing commercials and films. His younger brother, Tony Scott, was also a renowned director known for films like "Top Gun" (1986) and "True Romance" (1993).
